About Us

Our mission is to produce and distribute content on multiple platforms that inspire and encourages our target audience as well as educate the general viewer or listener. We will showcase the accomplishments that minorities have made and continue to make in the STEM (science, engineering, technology, math) fields and how these ChangeMakers impact their community and the global marketplace.

“The Color of STEM” production staff embodies talent with over 40 years of accumulative experience in television production, distribution, and event management. Our team of distinguished professionals is led by producers and directors that have received some awards including Emmy nominations, Omni Intermedia Awards (Silver and Bronze) CEBA Awards, NAACP Image Award and an ACE Award Nomination. Our production team has produced over 400 live shows for broadcast as well as non-broadcast events.

Our Team

Joel Harris

A Howard University Graduate with Forty years of Public Interest Broadcasting experience. Always seeking new technologies and creative challenges, he is a founding partner in the Color of STEM Group. The Group’s mission is to encourage and inspire the next generation of scientist and engineers. STEM Comes In All Colors.

Larry Law

Senior Series Editor Larry Law, vice president of Larry, Ink ltd., has been an audiovisual professional for 20 plus years. Law’s experience includes commercial, broadcast, corporate, and government television production. On the creative side, Law shoots and edits documentaries, advertising commercials, public service announcements, educational, and training productions; including award-winning projects for clients such as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (METRO), U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, NCAA, and the Federal Highway Administration. Law has been honored with numerous awards by his peers for his innovative audiovisual work; including two Broadcast Design Association (BDA) awards, four Telly awards, two National Association of Minorities in Cable (NAMIC) awards, as well as Gold and Silver Omni awards.

Michael Taylor

Michael Taylor Producer, Director of Photography - A Graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Michael has been producing videos for over 15 years. After graduating, he made his way to Washington, DC to work as a broadcast professional. Working as a freelance videography, editor, and broadcast technician for XM Satellite Radio, BET Networks and C-SPAN. He also served as the Technical Director for Marvin Sapp “I Win” DVD, and was Cinematographer on numerous music videos. Michael is a Telly award winning videographer with great love for producing documentary films.
