Long time partners, founders & producers of The Color Of STEM TV series, Curt Simmons and Joel Harris have envisioned to relaunch their platform with awesome new social features. In addition to showcasing STEM based TV programming, the partners have added community features so that viewers & users can comment on the shows, and those working in the fields of STEM can network and share ideas 24/7/365.

The new platform features TV programming,  ...VOD, social commentary, article and blog content, social sharing and 5 different profile types! The profile types include one for the general public, a profile for STEM professionals, corporate & business, non-profit. 

As a utility the platform offers Resources such as information on Venture Capital Funding, Government Resources, Foundations and a portal to publish White Papers. The goal is to create,

The Color of STEM is a powerful series that has been highlighting the most incredible personalities and careers in the world of STEM for over 10 Years.   Brilliant Minds and thought leaders like Dr. Louis Sullivan, the first African American, Surgeon General,  Dr. Patricia Bath, legendary inventor of the Laser Phaco Probe, Dean Gary Harris, Howard U, Tyrone Taborn,  Barrington Irving, Dr. Tina, ,  Topper Carew, Martin Film producer & Research Fellow, MIT,  PhD, Janeen Uzzell,  Keiana Cavé, Danni Washington, Jim Chabin,  Dr. Knotaki Ford, Just to name a few.

The first couple of seasons were hosted by, Emmy Award Winning DC Anchor, Alison Seymour.  Episodes from the first two seasons  are viewable On Demand on the platform, however the latest episodes are available exclusively on HBCUGO.TV via a partnership with the Allen Media Group.

Mr. Simmons has been involved with sports and entertainment productions for over 25 years. After attending Carnegie Mellon University, Curt has gone on to pursue a successful career as a television producer and director and eventually moved into network management. He spent (8) eight years with Black Entertainment Television (BET) as the Director of Sports where he received several awards: ACE Award Nomination (NBA Series Program), CEBA Awards and NAACP Image Awards. He was also a critical part of the team that negotiated co-ventures between the NBA, NFL and MLB. The negotiations resulted in a number of specials and show series including Super Bowl, World Series and NBA All-Star Specials.
